The device achieves low dynamic imped-ance by incorporating a high gain shunt regulator aroundthe zener. The excellent noise performance of the device isachieved by using a “buried zener” design which elimi-nates surface noise phenomenon associated with ordi-nary zeners. To serve a wide variety of applications, theLM129 is available in several temperature coefficientgrades and two package styles.
