As the world is becoming more globalized, and technology advancement in the Europe and America states precedes that of Asia and other parts of the world, English being the most commonly used language is becoming more important than native language in these areas. It is not unusual that people speaks English when meeting with others of another country or race, because the chances of them speaking English is higher than any other language. Hence, doing business with people of foreign countries usually requires English, as it is easier to converse directly, without a translator. And of course, that is the main factor pushing the popularity of English; because it is most commonly spoken and helps in building the economy, it is becoming increasingly important.
