First,you haveto listen more Chinese dialogues.It will help you understand Chinese better.
Second,you'd better speak Chinese as much as you can.Only in this way can you master correct pronunciation.
Third,I'd rather you read some simple Chinese novels or articles if you are a beginner.You will know some a lot about Chinese culture.
Last but not least,you can watch Chinese films or TV,you can listen to Chinese music.But I think the best way to learn Chinese is try to find a friend to make Chinese dialogues with you as possible as you can.
